Wedding photographer in West Palm Beach

West Palm Beach and Palm Beach are two places joined by three bridges. On the mainland side is the city: a waterfront along Flagler Drive, museums, and gardens. On the island side are the great hotels, clipped hedges, and the Atlantic. Most weddings here use both, and the lagoon between them is part of almost every plan.

As a wedding photographer and videographer in West Palm Beach, we plan the day around the bridges, the season, and the direction of the light.

On Palm Beach, The Breakers is the address most couples know: an oceanfront hotel in the Italian Renaissance style, with courtyards, lawns, and ballrooms large enough for any guest list. The Flagler Museum, the 1902 mansion called Whitehall, has a marble hall and a glass pavilion on the lagoon. Worth Avenue and its small courtyards, the vias, are a few minutes away and work well for portraits. The Colony is smaller and brighter, in pink.

On the West Palm Beach side, the Norton Museum of Art and the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens give you modern lines and tropical green close to the water. The waterfront along Flagler Drive looks across to the island.

North of the city, Jupiter has a red lighthouse and quieter beaches. South, Delray Beach and Boca Raton have their own resorts and clubs, and we cover them from the same base.

Many of these venues are private or have strict rules about vendors, timing, and where cameras may be. We ask about them before the wedding, not during it.

Palm Beach faces the Atlantic, so the sun rises over the ocean and sets behind you. In the evening the beach is in soft, even light, which is kind to faces, but the sun does not go down over the sea.

The lagoon side of the island is the opposite. From the west shore of Palm Beach you look across the water to the West Palm Beach skyline, and that is where the sunset is. Sunset is about 5:30 pm in December and about 8:15 pm in late June, and we plan the ceremony time backwards from it.

The wedding season here runs from November through April, when the air is dry and the evenings are mild. It is also when the island is busiest, so hotels, churches, and bridges all need extra time. From June through October afternoon storms are common and the heat is strong, and a covered backup close by matters.

The ocean side is windy most days. We use microphones that handle it and suggest where to stand for clean sound.

We photograph and film Palm Beach weddings as one crew. That matters most in tight moments: a first look in a hotel courtyard, a ceremony on an oceanfront lawn, a ballroom entrance with guests on both sides. Two separate teams would be in each other's frame. We decide in advance who stands where.

During the ceremony one camera stays wide and steady for the full record, while another follows faces: the look at the top of the aisle, a parent in the front row, hands during the rings. Vows and speeches are recorded with dedicated microphones, so your film has clear voices, not wind and room noise.

After the wedding, video packages with a teaser or trailer deliver it within two days, and photo collections include a preview within 48 hours. Our style is calm. We guide when it helps, mostly during portraits and family groups, and step back the rest of the time so the day looks the way it felt.

We are based in Sarasota, about three hours away across the state, and we travel for weddings across Florida.
