Wedding Photographer & Videographer in Miami, FL
Miami is several wedding cities at once. Coral Gables is stone, courtyards, and old banyans. Coconut Grove is gardens on the bay. Miami Beach is Art Deco, pools, and the Atlantic. Downtown and Brickell are glass towers and rooftops. They are close on the map and far apart in traffic, and that shapes the whole day.

As a wedding photographer and videographer in Miami, we build the timeline around real travel times and around the light, which behaves differently here than on the Gulf coast.
Miami Wedding Venues: the Gables, the Grove, and the Beach
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Coconut Grove is the best-known backdrop in the city: an Italian-style villa with formal gardens right on Biscayne Bay. It also has firm rules about photo permits, hours, and equipment, so it has to be arranged well ahead.

In Coral Gables, the Biltmore Hotel gives you a tower, colonnades, and a courtyard in one place, and the churches nearby, such as the Church of the Little Flower, are among the most photographed in South Florida. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is green and quiet even on a busy Saturday.

Miami Beach is a different mood: pastel Art Deco hotels along Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue, pool decks, and wide sand. Key Biscayne is calmer, with the Cape Florida lighthouse and beaches that look back at the skyline. For an urban look, Wynwood has murals on every wall, and Brickell and downtown have rooftops with the bay below.

Each of these places has its own rules about timing, access, and where a camera crew can stand. We ask about them before the wedding, not during it.
Light and Timing: the Atlantic Side
The most useful thing to know about Miami is that the ocean is to the east. The sun rises over the water and sets behind the city. On the beach in the evening the light is soft and even, with the sun behind the hotels, which is flattering for portraits, but there is no sunset over the ocean.

If you want the sun going down over water, the bay side gives it to you: from Miami Beach or Key Biscayne you look west across Biscayne Bay to the skyline. Sunset is about 5:30 pm in December and about 8:15 pm in late June, and we plan the ceremony time backwards from it.

Midday light in South Florida is strong all year, so we look for courtyards, loggias, and tree shade for portraits in the middle of the day. From June through October short afternoon storms are common and the heat is serious; a covered backup and a shorter outdoor portrait plan matter. November through April is the dry season and the most popular time for weddings.

Traffic is part of the light plan. Twenty minutes on the map between a church in the Gables and a hotel on the Beach can be an hour on a Saturday afternoon, and we schedule portraits with that in mind.
Photo and Video Together on Your Wedding Day
We photograph and film Miami weddings as one crew. That matters most in tight moments: a first look in a hotel courtyard, a full church aisle, a rooftop reception with guests on every side. Two separate teams would be in each other's frame. We decide in advance who stands where.

During the ceremony one camera stays wide and steady for the full record, while another follows faces: the look at the top of the aisle, a parent in the front row, hands during the rings. Vows and speeches are recorded with dedicated microphones, so your film has clear voices, not traffic and room noise.

After the wedding, video packages with a teaser or trailer deliver it within two days, and photo collections include a preview within 48 hours. The full film, the ceremony and speech edits, and the complete gallery follow. The collections on this page show what is included at each level, and each one can be adjusted: more hours, a second videographer, extra social cuts.

Our style is calm. We guide when it helps, mostly during portraits and family groups, and step back the rest of the time so the day looks the way it felt.
Book Your Miami Wedding Photographer and Videographer
We are based in Sarasota, about three and a half hours away across the state, and we travel for weddings across Florida. In South Florida we cover Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, and Hialeah, and further north West Palm Beach. We plan the drive with a wide margin so that we are on site and set up well before the first event of the day.

Send us your date, your venue, and whether you need photo, video, or both. We will reply with availability and a clear quote. The collections on this page are the same ones we offer at home. If you are still choosing a venue, tell us which ones you are considering and we will tell you how each will work for photos and film.
